What is impacted: VIU IT has enabled the use of Passkeys as a 2SV method for all Staff and Students. Level of impact: None. Passkeys are currently optional for existing 2SV users. Anyone setting up 2SV for the first time, or after a 2SV reset, who is using the Microsoft Authenticator App will automatically have a Passkey created in the App for them. Using the Passkey is optional, and more information can be found in our Knowledge Base Timing: Beginning Thursday, October 1 at 10 am. Preparation: None.
