Maintenance - Software Update - VIU Database Systems; Service Interruption

What is impacted: We are installing software updates for our database systems. These systems and their hosted data will be unavailable during the update process. All VIU Information Systems applications will be unavailable during the maintenance period. Notable systems include, but are not limited to: - Student Record System (SRS) - Student Ledger (SLED) - Online Student Record - Gradebook - Student Services Appointment System - Financial Record System (FRS) - VIUWeb Admin System Portal and its modules (Award Management, Fledger) - CUPE Training and Development - Employee Directory System (EDS) - Experience Hub (Orbis) Level of impact: Service Interruption. All VIU Information Systems applications will be unavailable during the maintenance period. Any scheduled jobs and integrations between VIU Information Systems to vendor systems will also be paused during this time. Timing: Tuesday, October 13, 5 am to 7 am. Preparation: Please save your work and log out of all isapp.viu.ca applications prior to the maintenance window. Wait until after the scheduled maintenance is complete before logging back in.
