What is impacted: Mitel Phone System Outage for all sites and campuses, including all teleworkers (those who have VIU Mitel phones at home) and softphone users. During the outage, anyone who calls a VIU Mitel phone will receive a fast/busy signal. No outgoing calls will be possible from any Mitel phones or softphones, nor will Mitel Voicemail be available. (There will be no impact on Nortel phones.) Level of impact: Service interruption. Mitel phones systems will be unavailable, including teleworker and softphone models. Timing:4pm on Wednesday, February 17 until 2am on Thursday, February 18. Preparation: Plan to complete all phone calls prior to the maintenance window. Have a cell phone handy in case you need to make a call. Blue emergency phones are available if there is an emergency.
