What is impacted: A number of server based VIU services. A complete list of services is included below. A group of servers are receiving Part 1 of a security patch and must be restarted.
Level of impact: Service Interruption. All services listed will be unavailable for up to 4 minutes during the maintenance window.
Timing: 10:00 pm to 10:15 pm Tuesday May 14.
Preparation: Please close these systems and all applications connected to these systems before 10:00 pm. Do not use these systems during the maintenance period.

Services that may be unavailable for up to 4 minutes between 10:00 pm to 10:15 pm:
- Deep Bay -DHCP, DNS, Print Server, Local File Server
- Cowichan DHCP server
- Cowichan Bookstore POS server
- Cowichan student U drives, profiles, shares, printer

- VIU Phone Systems - Mitel VoIP Manager and Telecom related backups from Mitel/Nortel

- Multiplan Software for Cafeteria (Database is on a different server.
